It is common to see Hihimanu or Spotted eagle rays over the Mahi wreck and around many of the exclusive sites that the North Shore Dive Club Dives. Hihimanu are coastal rays that are found in the Atlantic, Indian, and Pacific Oceans. Hihimanu or Spotted Eagle rays are found in all of the Hawaiian Islands and can sometimes be found in waters only a few inches deep. They born every October to December in places like Pearl Harbor and Kaneohe Bay on Oahu. During this amazing birth of life these rays have been seen leaping through the air dropping their young mid air !
Hawaii Eco Diver will be diving on the west side the next two days while there is still swell on the North Shore. The conditions should be good on the North Shore for the weekend.
